How They Work With Seal Retainers
These slim-line dock door weather seals are all designed to fit with all of our slim-line aluminum retainers. These Slim-Line seals, ideal for industrial and commercial warehouse applications, are made to weatherproof gaps with a small tolerance.
Slim-Line seals are specifically engineered for dock doors and openings where the gap between the door edge and the surrounding frame is narrow. Unlike standard #4 channel weather seals — which are built for wide openings and high lateral friction — Slim-Line seals fit a #2.5 channel retainer and are the correct choice when the application requires a precise, low-profile seal on a thin door edge. They install directly into the slim-line aluminum retainer and are available in four material styles to match the requirements of each specific door type and environment.
All four products in this category are manufactured by Action Industries and are available in multiple sizes and mounting configurations. They can be ordered in rolls for custom-cut installations or pre-installed into retainer channels ready to mount.

Choosing the Right Seals
These all-weather kit seals can be found in multiple sizes, and mounting options. There are also a variety of styles. These include:
- Vinyl – Great at holding its shape under extreme weather conditions and won’t warp from shifts in temperature.
- Brush – These seals can close the gap along irregular or rough surfaces. The bristles are also designed to avoid holding water or freezing in sub-zero environments.
- Flex Brush – Compared to a traditional brush seal, these seals are more convenient and cost effective. These brush seals have the same freeze-proof bristles with additional flexibility.
- Vinyl Bulb – These seals are made with soft, reliable vinyl and the “bulb” section compresses and creates an airtight perimeter seal.
