Overview
The NestaFlex 226 is the go-to expandable skatewheel conveyor for operations that need portable, reconfigurable material handling without the weight or cost of a roller-based system. Designed for retail store-level applications, packaging areas, assembly lines, and low-volume shipping and receiving departments, this gravity conveyor handles multi-sized cartons and flat-bottomed packages with ease — expanding to reach into trailers and contracting for compact storage between shifts.
With all-steel construction and a 226 lb per linear foot load capacity, the NestaFlex 226 provides reliable structural integrity whether fully extended, compressed, or configured in simple or compound curves. Adjustable inner legs let operators vary the conveyor height to achieve the pitch needed for consistent gravity flow.
Features and Benefits
The NestaFlex 226 balances lightweight portability with the durability needed for daily dock and backroom use. Its skatewheel design makes it lighter and faster than roller alternatives, while the self-tracking frame keeps cartons on path through curves without guards or engineered sections.
- Black high-density polymer skatewheels with steel ball bearings come standard — lighter than steel wheels with faster package flow
- Self-tracking design guides packages through curves and bends without side guides or engineered curve sections
- 11-gauge steel side links assembled with steel pins and retaining rings for frame durability
- 5/16-inch diameter axles across the full width for consistent wheel alignment
- Adjustable conveyor height from 28 to 44 inches using hand knobs on heavy-duty zinc-plated square tubing legs
- 5-inch by 1-1/2-inch casters with total-lock brakes on each end for repositioning and stable operation
- Welded horizontal leg braces for structural stability
- Couplers connect multiple sections for continuous extended runs
- Retractable heavy-duty package stop prevents cartons from falling off the discharge end
Skatewheel Options
The NestaFlex 226 is available with three skatewheel and bearing combinations, each optimized for a different balance of durability, flow speed, and cost. Selecting the right wheel type depends on your product weight, throughput requirements, and operating environment.
- Black poly wheels with steel ball bearings (standard) — medium durability with the highest flow speed; best for light parcels and packaging lines
- Steel wheels with steel ball bearings — highest durability with medium flow speed; best for heavier cartons and demanding dock environments
- Red poly wheels with nylon bushings — medium durability with lower flow speed; the most economical option for lighter-duty and budget-conscious applications
Applications
The NestaFlex 226 is built for environments where portability, fast deployment, and flexible layout matter more than heavy-duty load capacity. It is the choice for use in retail store level applications, packaging areas, assembly lines and in low volume shipping and receiving departments. A single conveyor can serve multiple dock doors by rolling it into position as trailers arrive. The T-junction accessory extends its versatility by enabling manual package sorting across multiple conveyor paths.
Accessories
The NestaFlex 226 offers a full range of accessories to match your layout and workflow. Curve guards help guide packages under accumulation circumstances when varying sizes begin to build up around bends. The swing stick extension bridges the gap between ground-level conveyors and the bed of a trailer for dockless unloading. The T-junction provides multi-directional skatewheel flow for manual package sorting and can connect three or four conveyors depending on configuration. Additional brake casters, coupler sets, and alternate leg elevations (20–28 inches, 25–38 inches, 36–52 inches) are also available.
Sizing and Configuration
The NestaFlex 226 is available in 14, 18, and 24 inch widths with extended lengths from 8 to 60 feet. Standard axle centers are 5-1/4 inches, with 4-inch and 3-inch options for smaller packages. Use the three-wheel rule: divide the shortest package dimension by three to determine the recommended axle center spacing.
