Features and Benefits

Built to withstand impact and extreme use, the PowerTec SR features a ¼-inch thick SBR rubber panel that absorbs collisions and resets quickly, minimizing disruptions. The springless design reduces maintenance needs and enhances safety by eliminating high-tension components. Operating at speeds up to 48 inches per second, it improves traffic flow and energy efficiency.

The Rytec System 4® Controller powers the door, offering intelligent control and reduced wear on mechanical parts. Safety is paramount, with dual thru-beam photo eyes and a wireless reversing edge that automatically reopens the door upon obstruction detection. A standard chain hoist ensures manual operation during power outages.

Additional features include:

  • Breakaway bottom bar in high-visibility yellow for added safety
  • Powder-coated components for corrosion resistance
  • 5-inch low-profile side columns for space efficiency
  • Rubber loop seal on the bottom bar for enhanced sealing

Optional upgrades include:

  • Blue or gray EPDM panel material
  • Vision windows (14” x 14” or 20” x 20”)
  • Pathwatch® Safety Light System
  • Windload package
  • High-visibility strip
  • Multiple activation options

Applications

The PowerTec SR is versatile and adaptable across a wide range of industries and environments. It is especially suited for:

  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Warehousing and distribution centers
  • Transit and transportation hubs
  • Parking structures
  • Automotive dealerships
  • Government and municipal operations
  • Heavy equipment and industrial sites

Its ability to accommodate openings up to 30 feet wide by 30 feet high makes it the go-to solution for large-scale access points.

Maintenance

Thanks to its springless design and minimal moving parts, the PowerTec SR requires significantly less maintenance than traditional overhead doors. The durable rubber panel and corrosion-resistant components are built for longevity, reducing the frequency and cost of repairs. The intelligent controller and variable AC drive further extend the life of mechanical parts by optimizing performance and minimizing stress. Routine inspections and occasional cleaning are typically sufficient to keep the door operating at peak efficiency.
