Overview
With the exception of our Super Duty Kingpinless casters, these high-capacity casters have the highest load capacity of all of our caster categories with maximum capacities of 7,200 lbs per caster. These heavy load casters are ideal for industrial manufacturing settings and can be fitted with a variety of different overall height sizes, top plate options, bolt hole patterns, bearing options (such as roller bearings or precision ball bearings), caster wheel material options and brake offerings (such as total lock brake, face contact brake or top lock brake).
Benefits
In addition to handling exceptionally heavy loads, these low-profile heavy-duty casters have the main benefit of the elimination of the kingpin.

Kingpin casters are the most common caster throughout the industry. It uses a central kingpin to hold the swivel raceways and ball bearings together. The biggest problem with this design, is when the caster fails due to overloading and shock loads, which can cause the kingpin (commonly referred to as a nut and bolt) to stretch and/or break. The solution for these common issues is the kingpinless design.
Kingpinless casters have eliminated the weakest link of the kingpin style caster. This is achieved by using a hardened steel inner and outer raceway and distributing the load to a single row of hardened ball bearings.

Applications
Applications for these rigid casters, swivel casters and heavy duty casters with brakes include industrial manufacturing, automotive industry, food service, material handling and aerospace industry.
Depending on the wheel material, these casters can handle different applications. For example, phenolic wheels (casters that end in either PHR or PHB) are lightweight, resistant to oil, grease and other liquids. On the other hand, polyurethane wheels (casters that end in .APB) are shock-absorbing, noise-reducing, durable and resilient.
