Overview
VS Series vertical storing dock leveler offers unmatched environmental control for customers with food storage or temperature sensitive applications. By storing in the vertical position, the VS Series allows the overhead door to form a perfect seal to the pit floor. Unlike conventional pit-style levelers that remain horizontal when not in use — leaving gaps around the leveler that allow air, moisture, pests, and debris into the facility — the VS Series stores inside the building in a fully upright position. When the overhead door is closed, it seals completely against the pit floor, maximizing environmental control and energy efficiency.
VS Series levelers offer improved cleanliness, overhead door protection, increased security, improved productivity, and easy maintenance. The VS Series leveler is ideal for the food industry where access and clean-up of the dock area is critical. Vertical storing levelers also act as a barrier protecting overhead doors from damage. Poweramp's VS Series dock levelers incorporate the use of hydraulics to raise and lower both the platform and lip. A multiple push button station permits independent raising of the deck, lowering of the deck, extending the lip, and retracting the lip. The unit is designed and manufactured in the USA, conforms to OSHA requirements, and is manufactured in compliance with ANSI MH 30.1.

Features and Benefits
Infinite control of the leveler and lip are standard with the multiple push button station. Power-up and power-down "dead man" control features enhance operator control and safety. A mechanical storage lock provides redundant safety while the leveler is in the stored position, and an automatic safety prop activates when the leveler is fully stored and automatically releases when the leveler lower button is depressed, offering secondary support of the leveler and added protection to your employees. Free float of the leveler in the working range reduces the potential hazards associated with safely transitioning wheeled equipment with a non-floating power-down system.
Fork truck run-off guards are standard on all platforms, preventing forklifts from leaving the leveler deck — a vital feature for continuous pit-style applications. Overhead door interlocks (dry terminal) are included as standard, and each VS Series application includes engineered drawings developed by Poweramp, ensuring all parties have the layout and details necessary for an efficient, properly functioning loading dock. The VS Series is available with iDock 2.0 Controls and a Connect Online option to connect to myQ Dock Management.
Applications
The VS Series is a purpose-built solution for facilities where temperature control, cleanliness, security, and overhead door protection are non-negotiable. Its vertical storage position makes it uniquely suited to regulated, climate-sensitive, and high-hygiene environments where conventional pit-style levelers simply cannot meet the performance standard.

Selection Assistance
The VS Series is the right choice when environmental control, facility cleanliness, and overhead door protection are primary requirements — particularly in food, pharmaceutical, cold storage, or regulated distribution environments. If your facility does not have these specific requirements, a conventional pit-style hydraulic leveler (PR, VH, or LHP Series) may be a more cost-effective fit.
Key configuration decisions for the VS Series include pump location (deck-mounted vs. remote/stanchion-mounted), lip length, vehicle restraint integration, and bumper bracket configuration. The hydraulic system can also be integrated to power the vehicle restraint system if equipped.
