Nylon caster Wheel Banner

Overview

Barron Equipment carries a complete range of industrial nylon wheels built for demanding environments where chemical resistance and high load capacity are critical. These caster wheels feature weight capacities from 2,000 to 10,000 pounds per wheel and a temperature range of 30 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Barron’s wheels are made from solid cast, high performance nylon that stands up to moisture, chemicals and corrosive conditions — delivering forged steel-level strength with the added benefit of floor protection.

For operations that need even greater versatility, Barron also stocks Blickle Nylon 6 wheels and casters. Nylon is resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances, has good rolling properties on smooth floors and is available in a variety of versions and dimensions. Between Barron’s own nylon wheel line and the Blickle Nylon 6 series, there is a hard nylon caster wheel for virtually every industrial application.

Applications

These industrial wheels perform especially well in environments that demand hygiene and chemical resistance. Common applications include:
  • Waste bins and platform trucks
  • Job boxes and bakery carts
  • Packaging machines and assembly aids
  • Stainless steel containers and laboratory equipment
  • Woodworking facilities
  • Aerospace, automotive and food processing operations
  • Pharmaceutical and washdown environments

White nylon versions are popular in food processing and pharmaceutical settings because dirt and dust are easy to spot on the surface — helping teams maintain sanitary conditions throughout a shift.

Specifications

Barron’s nylon caster wheels are made with heavy duty solid cast nylon and come standard with precision ball bearings. The Blickle SPOG heavy duty nylon wheels feature injection-moulded Nylon 6 with a hardness of 70 Shore D, while the GSPO compressed cast nylon series reaches 80 Shore D for the lowest possible rolling resistance under heavy loads.

Barron Nylon Wheel Options

Barron’s nylon wheels are the foundation of our chemical resistant wheel lineup. These solid cast and glass filled nylon wheels are assembled in house and engineered for high load capacity across a broad range of industrial caster applications. When browsing, look for part numbers with the following suffixes:

SEB – Solid Elastomer Ball Bearing
NYB – Nylon Ball Bearing
MAR – Glass Filled Nylon with Roller Bearing
These are available in sizes from 4 to 12 inches and pair with our 40, 41, 60, 61, 70, 71, 80 and 81 series casters for both swivel and rigid configurations.

Blickle Nylon 6 Options

For applications that call for specialized configurations, Barron also carries Blickle Nylon 6 wheels and casters. These complement our standard nylon lineup and are available for purchase directly through our online store. Look for the following Blickle series:

POG – Nylon 6 Wheels and Chemical Resistant Casters
SPOG – Heavy Duty Nylon 6 Wheels and Casters
GSPO – Heavy Duty Compressed Cast Nylon Wheels and Casters

Advantages of Nylon Wheels

Nylon wheels are one of the strongest non-metal wheel options on the market. They deliver the same load capacity as forged steel wheels without the risk of damaging concrete, epoxy or tile flooring. Their resistance to moisture and a wide range of chemicals makes them well suited to washdown environments and corrosive settings where other wheel materials would degrade quickly.

FAQs

What industries benefit most from nylon caster wheels?

Nylon caster wheels are ideal for food processing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive and general industrial manufacturing. Their chemical resistance and easy-to-clean surface make them a strong choice anywhere hygiene and durability matter.

How do nylon wheels compare to forged steel wheels?

Nylon wheels match the load capacity of forged steel while offering the added benefit of floor protection. They are also lighter, quieter on smooth surfaces and resistant to corrosion — making them a practical upgrade in many heavy duty applications.

Can I get chemical resistant casters with nylon wheels from Barron?

Yes. Barron carries both our own solid cast nylon wheels and Blickle Nylon 6 casters that are resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances. The POG and SPOG series are specifically popular for chemical resistant caster applications.

What is the difference between solid cast nylon and compressed cast nylon?

Solid cast nylon is the standard material used in Barron’s heavy duty nylon wheels. Compressed cast nylon, found in the Blickle GSPO series, is a denser formulation that provides even lower rolling resistance and higher load capacities — making it the right choice for extra heavy duty or stationary equipment applications.
