Door Bottom Seals

Overview

Door bottom seals are useful for protecting overhead doors. Door weatherstripping seals are also suitable for preserving the interior from dust, debris, drafts, and other harmful weather to keep warehouses safe and clean. Unlike side-mount and retainer seals — which seal the perimeter edges of a door opening — bottom weather seals specifically address the gap between the door’s bottom edge and the floor or threshold when the door is in the closed position.

This gap is one of the most common entry points for drafts, moisture, insects, and rodents in warehouse and commercial facilities. It is also where significant energy loss occurs in temperature-controlled environments. A properly selected and installed door bottom seal creates a consistent, compressive contact between the door and the floor surface, regardless of floor variations or door wear.
