What is a Dock Seal?

Dock seals provide a soft matting surface for the back of trailers backing into your loading dock. There are 2 main parts to dock seal design – two side pads and a head pad. This foam padding protects both the trailer and your loading dock door from damage caused by high-momentum impacts. Barron Equipment Company is a proud seller, installer and servicer of Fairborn and NOVA dock seals.

Controls Environment and Pests

Foam dock seals are known for increasing energy efficiency. Barron Equipment dock seals feature a tight seal to a dock door opening, limiting the chance of dust, dirt, and pests to enter the building.

Dock Seal Construction

Barron Equipment offers a variety of styles of dock seals. Below are the two most common types of dock seals:

Dock Seal Construction

This dock seal is our NOVA FP Series, but the overall construction is applicable across all our brands.

Dock Seal with Hood Construction

This dock seal is NOVA FPH Series, which has a hood style head curtain, as opposed to a pad. This dock seal is also designed for slightly larger dock door openings.

Installation

Our team of service technicians at Barron Equipment have been installing dock seals for over 43 years. Our experts can replace old seals with brand new ones, or install new ones to an opening that has not previously had dock seals.

Service & Repair

Along with installation, our team is also very experienced with repairing all types of dock equipment. It’s not uncommon for dock seals to need to be reattached to a building. We can do all of the above!
