Overview
2.5-inch diameter, 11 ga. gravity roller conveyors are ideal for applications that require an economical, non-powered means for conveying material. This heavy duty conveyor is used for handling pallets, dunnage racks, containers, structural steel, and drums. Straight sections can easily incorporate curves, spurs, and hinge gates.
The 2511 is the heavy duty workhorse of the LEWCO 2.5-inch roller class. At 750 lbs per roller, it provides the highest per-roller capacity available in a 2.5-inch diameter roller — matching the 2607 heavy wall model. The 8-gauge formed channel frame with bolted galvanized angle crossties delivers strong section-level capacity while remaining lighter and more cost-effective than the structural steel frames used on the 3.5-inch series.

Load Capacity
Each 2.5-inch, 11-gauge roller is rated at 750 pounds. Section-level capacity depends on support configuration.
- Roller capacity: 750 lbs per roller
- Set on floor (no supports): 8,000 lbs per section
- Supports on 5-foot centers: 3,750 lbs per section
The 8,000-pound capacity when mounted directly on the floor makes the 2511 suitable for permanent pallet handling installations where floor-mounted conveyor is practical.
Frame Construction
The 2511 uses an 8-gauge formed steel channel frame — heavier than the 10-gauge frames on the 1.9-inch series but lighter than the structural steel channels on the 3.5-inch models. The 8-gauge galvanized angle crossties are bolted (not welded), which simplifies field assembly and allows sections to be broken down for reconfiguration. Structural welded frames are also available as an upgrade for permanent installations.
Applications
The 2511 is designed for heavy duty gravity conveyor applications across a wide range of industries. Typical uses include pallet transfer in manufacturing and distribution where unit loads consistently exceed 500 lbs, loaded drum handling in chemical, petroleum, and food processing operations, dunnage rack and heavy container movement in automotive and industrial plants, structural steel and fabrication component staging, and shipping and receiving dock conveyor lines that handle heavy unit loads throughout every shift.

Selection Assistance
The 2511 is the right choice when your application requires 750 lbs per roller in a 2.5-inch diameter package with an 8-gauge formed frame. For the same 750 lb capacity in a heavy wall roller design, the 2607 (2.62 in., 7 ga.) provides a slightly larger roller diameter. For applications that need the 3.5-inch roller class for maximum surface contact with pallets and drums, the 3509 (750 lbs/roller, structural frame) steps up to a larger platform. For lighter loads under 300 lbs per roller, the 1909 or 2514 offer more economical options.
