Overview
The 3530S is among the most substantial gravity roller conveyors offered, with .300 wall structural steel rollers and heavy formed frames. Roller capacities exceed typical gravity sections, enabling very high distributed loads. This product is specified where extreme durability and load capacity are required in gravity feeding or staging operations.
At 2,500 lbs per roller and 16,000 lbs per section at 5-foot support centers, the 3530S represents the absolute top of the gravity conveyor capacity range. No other non-powered roller conveyor from either Roach or LEWCO handles more weight per roller. The combination of .300 wall schedule pipe construction, a 5-inch at 6.7 lbs structural steel channel frame, and 1-1/16-inch hex pinned axles creates a conveyor engineered for loads that would destroy any lighter model.

Load Capacity
The 3530S provides the highest per-roller and per-section capacity of any gravity conveyor in the Barron Equipment catalog.
- Per-roller capacity: 2,500 lbs
- Supports on 10-foot centers: 6,600 lbs maximum distributed live load per 10-foot section
- Supports on 5-foot centers: 16,000 lbs maximum distributed live load
The 16,000-pound section capacity at 5-foot centers is double what the structural frames on the 2.5-inch series provide, and double the 3509S’s 8,000-pound rating. This is the capacity class specified for the heaviest industrial loads.
Construction Details
Every component of the 3530S is built to handle extreme loads. The .300 wall schedule pipe rollers are the thickest roller construction available, providing maximum resistance to deflection and deformation under loads up to 2,500 lbs per roller. The 5 at 6.7 lbs structural steel channel is the heaviest frame in the Roach lineup. The 1-1/16-inch hex pinned axles provide positive mechanical retention under extreme forces. And the removable heavy duty grease-packed bearings with zinc plating are sealed against the heavy dust and debris found in the extreme industrial environments where this conveyor is typically installed.
Applications
The 3530S is reserved for the most extreme gravity conveyor applications in heavy industry. Typical uses include loaded pallet transfer where individual unit loads routinely exceed 2,000 lbs, steel coil and structural steel staging in metals processing facilities, heavy die and mold transfer in stamping and injection molding plants, military and defense applications involving heavy containers and crates, heavy equipment component staging in manufacturing, and permanent gravity feeding lanes for the heaviest unit loads in a facility.
Selection Assistance
The 3530S is specified when per-roller loads exceed what the 3509S (700 lbs/roller) can handle or when section loads exceed 8,000 lbs. For a comparable LEWCO option, the LEWCO 3530 provides 2,000 lbs per roller in a similar .300 wall schedule pipe construction — the Roach 3530S exceeds this with 2,500 lbs per roller and a higher section-level rating of 16,000 lbs at 5-foot centers.
