The BCE-2-60E is manufactured from premium 18-gauge 304 stainless steel with a #3 finish for superior durability and a professional appearance. This model features two heavy-duty 3/4 HP ODP (Open Drip Proof) direct-drive dual-speed motors that deliver exceptional airflow performance of up to 5,050 CFM. The high-efficiency discharge plenum includes an adjustable air foil vane that can be positioned at +/-20° for optimal barrier performance.
This particular electric air curtain includes factory-mounted single-stage heaters (15 kW) that provide a temperature rise of 13°F at high speed and 19°F at low speed. The heating elements are strategically mounted inside the plenum on the discharge side of the blowers, protecting the motor life and preventing dust accumulation on the heaters.
This unit comes with single point power connection options and maintains a sound level of 63 dBA at high speed and 56 dBA at low speed when measured 10 feet from the unit. Its exclusive positive seal nozzle design ensures maximum efficiency and performance.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance, try sticking to these steps:
- Check the stainless steel body for any damage that might indicate internal issues.
- Verify that both motors are operating properly—these single-phase motors are permanently lubricated and don't require regular greasing.
- Clean the air intake screen regularly by removing it and washing with hot water or steam, allowing it to dry completely before re-installation.
- Clear any obstructions from the intake grille to ensure proper airflow. The factory-preset discharge vanes typically need no adjustment, but can be repositioned to adapt to specific environmental conditions.
Power Requirements
The BCE-2-60E requires proper electrical installation to function optimally. For 208V single-phase power, the unit draws high amperage (consult an electrician as this may be prohibitive in some installations). For three-phase options, at 208V/3/60, the unit draws 41.6A (60A breaker) with a 7.2A second circuit (15A breaker) when using separate supply circuits.
With 240V/3/60 power, the unit requires 43.3A (60A breaker) with single point power connection. For 480V/3/60, the unit draws 22A (30A breaker), and with 575V/3/60 power, it requires 18.1A (25A breaker). Alternative heater kW options are available for installations with limited power supply.
