Overview
Standard Mighty King™ desk lifts come in fixed frame widths — 32″, 40″, and 46″ — which work perfectly for traditional desks with consistent knee-hole dimensions. But modern offices use cube-style workstations, modular desks, and contemporary furniture with varying widths that don’t match any single fixed frame. The Model 4108 solves this with an adjustable-width frame that adapts from 26½” to 38″, fitting the full range of cubicle and modular desk openings without needing to stock multiple desk lift sizes.
Like every Mighty King desk lift, the 4108 is rated at 600 lbs and allows a single person to lift and move heavy desks without emptying drawers or disconnecting equipment. Roll the lift under the desk, depress the handle, and the desk rises off the floor onto non-marring swivel casters. The 1¼” to 6¼” lift range provides enough clearance for smooth rolling while keeping the lift angle low for easy operation. Ships via UPS at 60 lbs. Every unit is manufactured by Raymond Products in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a lifetime warranty.
Features and Benefits
The adjustable frame width is the defining feature. Where fixed-width Mighty King models require you to measure the desk opening and order the matching 32″, 40″, or 46″ frame, the 4108 adjusts on site to fit any opening between 26½” and 38″. For IT departments, office movers, and facility teams that encounter different desk widths throughout the day, one adjustable lift replaces the need for multiple fixed-width units.
The low-clearance lift range of 1¼” to 6¼” is designed for cube-style desks that often sit lower to the floor than traditional teacher or executive desks. The 4″ x 15/16″ non-marring hard rubber full-swivel casters provide quiet, floor-safe rolling in any direction — essential for carpeted office environments where phenolic casters would be too loud or too hard.
The powder-coated steel frame and non-skid red vinyl coating on the lift forks match the construction quality of the entire Mighty King lineup. The 600 lb capacity handles heavy modular workstations, L-shaped cubicle desks, and file-cabinet-integrated units.
Applications
IT departments are the primary users. Moving cubicle workstations during network upgrades, floor reconfigurations, and equipment swaps requires lifting desks without disconnecting monitors, docking stations, and cable management. The adjustable width means one lift works across the entire cube farm, regardless of which vendor supplied the furniture.
Office relocation teams and commercial movers use the 4108 when moving mixed-brand office furniture where desk widths vary from workstation to workstation. Facility maintenance teams in corporate offices, government buildings, and universities use it for ongoing space reconfiguration as departments grow, shrink, or reorganize.
Selection Assistance
Choose the Model 4108 when you regularly move cube-style or modular desks with varying widths between 26½” and 38″. If your facility uses standardized desks with a consistent knee-hole width, a fixed-width Mighty King (Model 2000, 2300, 3500, or 4000) in the matching size provides the same 600 lb capacity at a lower price point.
For desks wider than 38″, the fixed-width 40″ or 46″ Mighty King frames are the appropriate choice. For single-pedestal desks, add the Model 1800 attachment. For computer desks with shelves or crossbars, add the Model 1600 attachment.
