Where traditional coil handling methods use C-hooks, tongs, or mechanical grabs that clamp onto or insert into the coil, vacuum lifting grips the outer surface without any contact pressure, insertion, or mechanical clamping. This eliminates the edge damage, bore deformation, and surface marking that mechanical methods cause — particularly on sensitive materials like aluminum, copper, and coated steel coils where cosmetic quality matters to the end customer.

Why Vacuum Lifting for Coils and Rolls

Mechanical coil lifting devices grip by clamping, inserting an expanding mandrel into the bore, or hooking the coil from below.
