Overview
The Raymond Royal Dolly (Models 1420 and 1430) is a heavy-gauge, general-purpose furniture dolly — but barrels, drums, and other cylindrical loads roll off a flat dolly surface. This barrel cradle attachment converts the Royal Dolly into a barrel mover by providing a contoured, V-shaped cradle that holds rounded loads securely during transport. Slide the cradle onto the dolly, set the barrel in the cradle, and roll it to the destination.
The entire cradle surface is coated with non-skid, bonded red vinyl that grips the barrel to prevent shifting and cushions the load against scratches and surface damage. At just 6 lbs, it adds minimal weight to the dolly and ships in a single carton via ground. Every unit is manufactured by Raymond Products in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a lifetime warranty.

The contoured cradle shape is designed to hold cylindrical items that cannot stay in position on a flat surface. Barrels, drums, kegs, cylindrical tanks, and rolled materials settle into the cradle and remain stable during rolling — eliminating the need for a second person to steady the load. The non-skid red vinyl coating provides both grip and surface protection, preventing the barrel from sliding and shielding the finish from scratches.
The attachment fits securely on both the Model 1420 (26″ wide) and Model 1430 (30″ wide) Royal Dollies. No tools or permanent modifications are required — the cradle slides on and off in seconds, allowing the dolly to return to flat-surface use immediately.
Selection Assistance
This cradle is designed exclusively for Raymond Royal Dolly Models 1420 and 1430. It will not fit other dolly brands or models. If you do not yet own a Royal Dolly, both the 1420 and 1430 are available from Barron Equipment and can be ordered together with this cradle attachment.
