A simple solution to improving safety. On most manual pallet jacks, the back wheels are exposed, presenting a real danger that the feet of operators or bystanders may be rolled over or crushed. By encasing the wheels of the manual pallet hack, this patented safety guard reduces the exposure associated with foot rollover injuries.
What’s so special about the FootGuardian foot guard? This pallet jack foot guard is designed to improve operator safety and divert debris from the pallet jack’s path. In addition to preventing injuries, this device also helps you avoid loss of time and production. The FootGuardian is constructed of five lbs. of welded steel plates that easily attaches to the post between the wheels with a universal V-block mounting bracket. The guard provides additional foot protection with 3/8 of an inch of carbon steel between the foot and the wheel. The simple attachment prevents the foot from touching exposed pallet jack wheels, which causes injury.

Why a pallet jack safety guard? Some people may think, “There is no demand for it.” However, at one point, airbags were not in demand before being commonly deployed. Very often, the invention precedes the demand. Still, in this case, the demand is out there, as the stories from the front lines of warehouses, retail stores, and manufacturing facilities tell us. It is not necessary to wait for a foot injury.
Protect Your Feet
Manual pallet jacks carry as much as 5,000 lbs. Most have their back wheels exposed, and if you don’t watch your feet position or are unable to stop a heavy load, your feet become the target. By encasing the wheels of the manual pallet jack, the FootGuardian device reduces the exposure associated with foot rollover injuries or debris. The guard attaches in less than four minutes. When you need a new pallet jack, just take the old guard off and attach it to the new one!
Is the FootGuardian device compatible with your standard manual pallet jack?
The FootGuardian is designed to fit the vast majority of standard manual pallet jacks that are in use today. The SFG-001 FootGuardian is not a universal guard.
As an estimate, the SFG-001 standard FootGuardian® device fits in the area between the wheels that is greater than 2 3/4 inches. The post can be no bigger than 2.25 inches in diameter. The distance from outside to outside wheel must be less than 8 1/2 inches. Anything outside these parameters may need a custom guard. Please measure the subject area to check for compatibility.
