LHP Leveler

Hydraulic Dock Levelers – LHP Series

Overview

The LHP Series dock leveler combines cost-effective hydraulic technology with our efficient deck and frame design to produce a reliable, price-sensitive hydraulic dock leveler. LHP levelers have added safety features and save valuable time in operation and maintenance. For facilities that want the convenience of push-button hydraulic activation without stepping up to a full-featured premium platform, the LHP Series delivers straightforward, dependable performance at an accessible price point — making it a strong alternative for operations currently considering mechanical or air-powered levelers.

A single push button activates a hydraulic pump for operating both the lip and hoist cylinders. The LHP Series leveler has infinite lip control, allowing the operator to position the lip for end loading. Service range is from 12" above to 12" below dock level. The LHP Series is designed and manufactured in the USA, conforms to OSHA, and is manufactured in compliance with the American National Standard of Safety Performance and Testing of Dock Leveling Devices (ANSI) MH 30.1.

Features & Benefits

The LHP incorporates a four-sided box construction deck — stronger and more durable — paired with an efficient deck and frame design. The hoist cylinder is equipped with a safety velocity fuse to limit free fall of the loaded platform to 3" (±1"), and the lip extends using a fixed but fully yieldable lip cylinder, providing reliable lip extension. A translucent hydraulic reservoir allows fast and easy visual inspection of fluid level at a glance. The elevated, frame-mounted pump and motor assembly keeps clear of debris accumulation in the pit, and the CleanSweep frame design supports routine pit clean-out. Lip keepers welded to frame members provide nighttime security and cross-traffic support, and a lockout/tagout maintenance strut is provided as standard. The LHP Series is available with iDock 2.0 Controls and a Connect Online option to connect to myQ Dock Management to view leveler activity online.

LHP Series Features

Applications

Poweramp positions the LHP Series as its economical hydraulic option — the right fit for facilities that need the operational simplicity and safety of push-button hydraulic control at a price that competes directly with air-powered alternatives. It performs well in lighter-duty, standard-frequency loading environments where capacity requirements fall within the 25K–40K CIR range.

Common applications include:

  • Light-to-Medium Distribution — Facilities handling standard pallet loads at moderate cycle volumes where hydraulic operation is preferred over mechanical
  • Small-to-Mid-Size Warehousing — Operations with one to several dock positions needing a reliable, low-maintenance hydraulic solution
  • Retail Receiving Docks — Locations with consistent trailer traffic and standard bed heights where push-button convenience improves daily efficiency
  • Facilities Upgrading from Mechanical or Air-Powered Levelers — A straightforward, cost-effective step up that delivers full hydraulic operation without a premium investment
  • Light Manufacturing — Environments handling finished goods or component deliveries within the 25K–40K CIR capacity range
  • Budget-Conscious Projects — Multi-dock installations where hydraulic performance is needed and project cost is a primary consideration

Selection Assistance

The LHP Series is Poweramp's most cost-effective pit-style hydraulic leveler, best suited for lighter-duty applications and facilities where total project cost is a key factor. For operations that require capacities above 40K CIR, longer pit lengths, extended warranty coverage, or advanced features — the VH Series (up to 80K CIR) or PR Series (up to 120K CIR) offer a natural upgrade path.
The LHP Series is available with a range of options including vehicle restraints (PowerHook®, TPR®, UniChock™, UXL), extended lip lengths (18" and 20"), iDock Controls, Dock Alert Communication System, 3-phase motor, pit steel, weather seals, foam insulation, and more. All LHP Series models feature a full one (1) year base warranty on all structural, hydraulic, and electrical parts, including freight and labor.
Our product specialists at Barron can help you confirm whether the LHP Series is the right fit — or whether stepping up to the VH or PR Series would better serve your operation. Fill out the form below and we'll follow up shortly.
