LMP Leveler

Mechanical Dock Leveler – LMP Series

Overview

The LMP Series incorporates the manufacturing efficiency of the "Lug Hinge" deck design with standard box construction to produce a reliable, economic mechanical dock leveler. For facilities that need dependable pull-chain mechanical leveling at an accessible price point, the LMP Series delivers proven construction without the premium of the heavy-duty HM Series — making it a practical fit for standard pit-style loading dock applications from light distribution to mid-level receiving.

The LMP Series Leveler is shipped completely assembled and ready for use, once permanently installed in pre-formed pits. LMP Series levelers come in 6', 6'6", & 7' standard widths and 6', & 8' standard lengths. Other lengths may be available upon request. Standard capacities for the LMP Series are 25K, 35K, & 40K CIR (Comparative Industry Rating). The unit conforms to OSHA, and is manufactured in compliance with the American National Standard of Safety Performance and Testing of Dock Leveling Devices (ANSI) MH 30.1. Designed, Engineered, and Manufactured in the U.S.A.

Features & Benefits

The LMP Series leveler is operated manually simply by pulling the release chain to raise the leveler and automatically extend the lip. No manual lifting is required. The unit is powered by extension springs and guided by the CamControl™ counter balance assembly. The Cam Control Counter Balance Assembly permits smooth ramp extension and easy walk-down of the leveler. The hold-down and float mechanism will hold the ramp in place and will float with trailer movement, handling the extreme float conditions common with air-ride suspension trailers. The standard lip is 16", with an operating range of 12" above and below dock level. The platform is designed to compensate for canted truck beds up to 4" and remain flush with the dock floor.

The leveler includes four-sided box construction for a stronger, more durable deck assembly, along with the CleanSweep frame design, an 11-tooth hold-down/float assembly, Lip Drive positive lip extension, lip-supporting service strut, multiple position safety stop, working-range toe guards, a yieldable lip plate, and below dock end loading capability. Dual pivoting cross traffic legs provide multi-position safety in the event of early departure, and working range toe guards close off the sides at the highest position. Lip keepers are welded to the frame providing nighttime security and cross-traffic support. A maintenance prop with "Lockout Tagout" capability is provided as standard. Each LMP Series leveler is shipped with two (2) 4½" thick x 10" high x 14" wide laminated bumpers as standard.

LMP Series Features

Applications

The LMP Series is built for standard loading dock environments where mechanical operation meets the facility's needs and capacity requirements fall within the 25K–40K CIR range. Its value-engineered design and reliable Poweramp construction deliver a practical, low-maintenance solution across a wide range of industries.

Common applications include:
  • Light-to-Medium Warehousing & Distribution — Operations handling standard pallet loads at moderate cycle volumes where mechanical operation is preferred over hydraulic
  • Retail & Wholesale Receiving Docks — Facilities with consistent trailer traffic and standard bed heights where pull-chain convenience meets daily operational needs
  • Facilities Upgrading from Edge-of-Dock Levelers — The LMP is a natural step up for facilities that need a full pit-style range of motion at an economical price point
  • Budget-Conscious Multi-Dock Installations — Projects where mechanical performance is required and first-cost is a primary consideration across multiple positions
  • Light Manufacturing — Environments handling finished goods or component deliveries within the 25K–40K CIR capacity range
  • Secondary or Lower-Traffic Dock Positions — Dock doors that handle lower frequency use where hydraulic investment is not justified

Selection Assistance

The LMP Series is Poweramp's economical pit-style mechanical leveler, best suited for standard applications in the 25K–40K CIR range where pull-chain mechanical operation is sufficient. For operations needing more structural capability, higher capacities up to 50K CIR, 10' length availability, or 29 inches of direct rear hinge support, the Poweramp HM Series is the appropriate step up. For facilities that want the added safety and ergonomic advantages of fully powered operation, Poweramp's hydraulic leveler lineup is also available through Barron.

The LMP Series is available with a full range of options including vehicle restraints (TPR®, UniChock™, PowerStop®, UXL), extended lip lengths (18" and 20"), iDock 1.0 and 2.0 Alert, Dock Alert Communication System, 3-wheel forklift protection, safety yellow full-range toe guards, weather seals (brush or rubber), foam-insulated deck, pit steel, and more.

Our product specialists at Barron can help confirm whether the LMP Series is the right fit — or whether stepping up to the HM Series or a hydraulic alternative would better serve your operation long-term. Fill out the form below and we'll follow up shortly.
