Overview
Barron Equipment supplies the Action Industries WeatherBLOCK dock leveler seal kit, a two-in-one brush and EPDM rubber seal system designed to close the gaps around loading dock levelers. The WeatherBLOCK seal combines the wind-blocking and draft-proof protection of polypropylene brush bristles with the waterproofing protection of an EPDM rubber fin insert — delivering dual-layer sealing performance in a single 1 inch seal. Once installed, the seal presses against the pit wall to prevent wind-driven rain, dirt, dust, and pests from entering the dock pit.
Each kit includes everything needed for a complete dock leveler seal installation: two 8 foot galvanized weld-on channels, 1 inch 90-degree aluminum retainers, and the WeatherBLOCK seal. The galvanized channel allows for quick weld installation — simply tack weld a 2 inch bead every 12 inches along the retainer, slide in the seal, then lightly hammer at the bead points and ends to secure.

Applications
The WeatherBLOCK dock leveler seal kit is designed for loading dock levelers with gaps measuring less than one inch. Common installations include warehouses, distribution centers, food processing facilities, cold storage docks, agricultural facilities, and any commercial or industrial loading dock where controlling air infiltration, temperature, and pest entry is critical. The kit prevents debris from falling into the dock pit — a requirement for food industry facilities that must meet sanitation standards. The dual brush and EPDM construction also promotes energy savings by reducing drafts and air exchange at the dock opening.
Installation
Position the galvanized channels along the dock leveler where the seal will contact the pit wall. Tack weld a 2 inch bead every 12 inches along the channel to secure it to the leveler frame. Install the 1 inch 90-degree aluminum retainers into the galvanized channels. Slide the WeatherBLOCK seal into the retainer channel. Lightly hammer at each weld bead point and at the ends to lock the seal in place. Confirm the brush and EPDM fin make consistent contact with the pit wall when the leveler is in the stored position.

Action Industries offers dock leveler seal kits in multiple seal types to match the level of protection your facility requires. The WeatherBLOCK kit provides the highest level of protection with its dual brush and EPDM fin construction. For draft protection only, a brush-only kit is available. For high-visibility dock environments, the Zebra Brush kit features alternating yellow-and-black bristles. For pest-critical facilities, the Xcluder RodentBLOCK kit is impenetrable to rodents. All kits use the same galvanized channel and 90-degree retainer mounting system.
