Overview
Barron Equipment and Overhead Door carries the WP and WPS Series of work positioners from Presto Lifts. These low-mast, manual-drive, power-lift units combine the roles of a transporter, stacker, and portable lift table in a single machine. Use an adjustable work positioner anywhere you need to raise loads to a comfortable working height without a dedicated, floor-mounted device.
The WP Series uses a fork-over design for open-bottom pallets and skids. The WPS Series uses a straddle configuration that works with any pallet type, including closed-bottom. All four models are rated at 2,000 lbs with 24-inch load centers and feature tiller handle steering for precise load positioning.

Features and Benefits
All work positioners in this selection feature 2-inch thick by 6.25-inch wide by 42-inch long fixed solid steel forks with a 17-inch high fork carriage. A hand-operated floor lock keeps the unit stable during lifting.
The WP36-20 and WP60-20 are fork-over models with raised heights of 36 and 60 inches, a lowered height of 3.25 inches, and a 28-inch wide footprint. The WPS5036-20 and WPS5060-20 are straddle models with a 50-inch inside straddle, raised heights of 36 and 60 inches, and a lowered height of just 2 inches. The wider straddle on the WPS models allows these adjustable work positioners to handle full-size pallets that fork-over models cannot.
All models include a heavy-duty 12-volt battery with built-in microprocessor charger. The powered lift raises loads at 4 inches per second. Optional slip-on platforms turn any model into a mobile work surface for non-palletized loads.
Applications
Work positioners are designed for facilities that need mobile, adjustable lifting at ergonomic working heights. Common uses include:
- Raising pallets and containers to working height at assembly and pack stations
- Positioning loads at workbenches, inspection tables, and production cells
- Transporting materials between workstations and staging areas
- Loading and unloading shelves, conveyors, and elevated surfaces
- Serving as a portable lift table where permanent installations are not practical
- Handling non-palletized loads with optional slip-on platforms
Because these adjustable work positioners are mobile, a single unit can serve multiple stations throughout a shift. The compact footprint and low-mast design make them easy to move through doorways and congested aisles. Straddle models handle any pallet type, while fork-over models suit operations that only use open-bottom pallets.
Selection Assistance
If you only use open-bottom pallets, the WP36-20 or WP60-20 fork-over work positioners provide a narrower profile. If your facility uses closed-bottom or mixed pallet types, the WPS5036-20 or WPS5060-20 straddle models are the better choice.
The 36-inch models work well for feeding workbenches and pack tables. The 60-inch models reach higher surfaces like shelving and conveyors. Optional accessories include remote controls, modified platforms, extended backplates, boom with hook, drum grabber, roller bed, and fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
