Overview
This industrial rigid caster has a wheel diameter of 6 inches (as indicated by the "62" in the SKU) and is ideal for everyday use types of applications. A fixed caster, or rigid caster, is typically used in tandem with our industrial swivel casters (casters that begin with "40"). Most carts use 2 swivel and 2 rigid casters. This rigid caster is designed to be used specifically with its swivel caster counterpart - 40.62.58.APB.IS. Due to the Ideal Stop Brake, the swivel caster version requires the black synthetic adapter plate (indicated by "58" in the SKU) as a spacer in order to engage the brake. For the rigid casters to match the swivel casters in overall height, an adapter plate is needed on the rigid casters as well. This black synthetic adapter plate also provides excellent corrosion resistance while maintaining structural integrity. It's a cost-effective and overall fantastic economical choice for your material handling needs.
